what good is love, if there is no one to love,

how can I rest my mind
when there is suffering in the world,

when there is despair all around me,
how can I rest my body
when there is death where I lay,

when there is fear all around me?

help me understand
the presence beneath the absence,
the energy behind the silence,
the eternal peace beyold the love.
