Ego and surrender

If you surrender your body to God, the ego will lose control. The ego does not like that!

But, do you think that God, who gave you this body in the first place, do you think that he will not take care of it? Your body in God's hands will be better off that in the hands of the ego.

Don't get me wrong! The ego wants good. But it has a limited view of how to achieve it. Tell the ego that it is to its benefit to let the body to God. Tell it that it was his idea to do that in the first place. You'll probably get support from it, then.
